Alumni Webinar: Promoting Alumni Research - 3 minute presentations
At the Heart Foundation, we want to celebrate you and share our research success with the wider community.

We are inviting our alumni members to present their current research in a 3-minute video for a chance to win:

• A $1,000 Prize that can be spent on translation activities such as creating journal articles, a professional development course, or attending a domestic research conference.

• An exclusive one-on-one meeting opportunity with a member of the Heart Foundation’s Advocacy and Media teams to discuss options available for promoting and advocating their findings.

In the video, Introduce yourself and your research project, share the outcomes you hope to achieve and the impact this will have on the hearth health of Australians.

A panel of 3 Researcher Committee Members will be selecting the top 5 video entries and sharing it at our last alumni webinar for this year.

Please record your 3-minute video in a landscape orientation and send to alumni@heartfoundation.org.au by Wednesday 4 November 2020.

Tips on creating your video presentation:

• Tailor your video presentation to a general audience. Translate your research into layterms that anyone can understand, avoiding any jargon and academic language.
• Explain concepts and people important to your research.
• You may like to present your research like a story, structured with a beginning, middle and an end.
• Do not present your research like an academic paper. Try to use shorter words and shorter sentences.
• Your video should feature you presenting your research.
• Be creative and engaging. You are welcome to add visuals, text, or diagrams to your video.

Register to attend the live webinar for an opportunity learn more about our alumni and participate in a discussion where you can ask questions to our alumni panel.
